Unboxing January 2025 Dungeon Crate
We started the new year with a shadowy, dark, and sinister bang, adventurer. This month’s big feature is a robust 71-page full campaign adventure zine that’s getting some great buzz in the TTRPG community. We rounded out the crate with some killer gameplay loot and fun accessories. Let’s do a virtual unboxing of January 2025’s Dungeon Crate.
Righteous Vow Token & Sticker Pack – Timmy’s Treehouse & Dungeon Crate
We partnered with our friends at Timmy’s Treehouse to bring you this wooden luck token inspired by our featured adventure this month, Righteous Vow. Then we added a premium Righteous Vow sticker and added a bonus luck token card. We also gave our members the pdf of the luck token cards in their Digital Dungeon Crate so they can print off more luck cards.
Monster Mini RPG Figure - Reaper Miniatures
We included a spooky mini that you can use to play Righteous Vow or any adventure. The one you got was decided by the luck of the roll. Into painting minis? Great! These from Reaper Miniatures don’t need to be primed before painting. Not into painting minis? That’s ok, too! You can play them as-is.
Decider Dice
Like the timeless Magic 8 Ball, the colorful six-sided foam die we included in January’s crate was designed to help decide a character’s future. It offers sage advice like: Go For It, No, and Yes, as well as way less helpful advice like: Possibly and Ask Again Later. People have fun using this die to shake up gameplay.

Righteous Vow Volume 1: The Lich King of Ul
With accolades like, “This Shadowdark adventure blew me away!” This recently released zine is definitely feeling the love. We’re especially proud of it because we put the polish on the adventure by game editing, proofreading, and copy editing it.
This original 71-page adventure zine was written by Bill Harvat for the Shadowdark roleplaying game platform. It officially launched in October of 2024 and is the first zine in a series written for OSR gaming. This zine is made as a third party adventure compatible with Shadowdark RPG.
Here’s what adventurers are up against:
The adventure leads the party through the blighted Forests of Ul in search of a Lich King named Zardu. If the adventurers can search the many fortresses to uncover the location of King Zardu's tomb, they will be able to lift the curse on the land of Ul.
