Fridays at the Tavern: Candied Pecans

We want RPG sessions at your place to be the stuff of legend. That's why, on Fridays we write a new post and offer you the recipe. This week it's a crunchy sweet batch of candied pecans that have a bit of a bite.
RPG Adventurer’s Pecans
This snack is airy, crispy, and exactly what you need to keep your mind on your campaign. They make a perfect addition to your adventuring rations, offering a sweet treat after vanquishing terrifying monsters. Celebrate your victories with these tasty little treasures!
Snack Components:
1 C white sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground ginger (or more to taste)
¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper (optional)
1 egg white
1 Tbsp water
1 lb. pecan halves
Snack Actions:
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and optional cayenne in a bowl and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk egg white and water until frothy. Fold pecans into the egg white mixture. Mix pecan mixture into the sugar mixture until evenly coated. Spread coated pecans onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, or until pecans are evenly browned.
