Unboxing August 2024 Dungeon Crate
August is the dog days of summer. We hoped our Dungeon Crate adventurers’ “brat summer” was like ours, filled with plenty of fun and friends (old and new) at cons and epic game days full of adventure. To celebrate these last precious weeks of summer, we packed our member’s Dungeon Crates full of hot loot.

Death Markers (set of 5) by Timmy’s Treehouse & Dungeon Crate
We partnered with our friends at Timmy’s Treehouse to offer this set of five death markers. The skull and axe is our original design and laser cut from wood by Tim himself. As a new twist, the markers have a bit of color so they pop on your game table. These markers come in handy during battle as you can use them whenever you need to mark a fallen foe.
Precision Paint Brush (Set of 3)
This set includes three precision brushes that are perfect for painting minis. Use them with the new paint we added to bring your new mini to life or use it to tackle all those minis you haven’t gotten around to painting yet. The handles have a comfortable, ergonomic design and the slim brush lets you bring out those teeny tiny details.
1 Bottle of Premium Paint from Reaper Miniatures
We chose some hot colors for this month’s crate and let the dice roll decide which color you got: Fire Red, Fire Orange, or Sun Yellow. These quality paints come from Reaper Miniature. They’re highly pigmented with a matte finish, are water soluble, and have a dropper style bottle for use with an airbrush or paint brush.

Hell Hound Mini - Reaper Miniatures
To complement this month’s one-shot encounter, we added a hell hound mini figure from Reaper Miniatures. This ferociously fiery beast was sculpted by Ben Siens and is part of the Bones Classic line of RPG miniatures. No priming is required on this detailed hell hound mini, it’s ready to paint up or play as-is.

Our original one-shot adventure this month was a collaboration between Johnny Voruz and our founder Wayne Brekke. Like all our adventures, it’s set in our sandbox world of Halcyon and designed for DnD 5E but with a few adjustments you can use it to play nearly any fantasy RPG.
