July 2021 Unboxing Dungeon Crate

We’ve got a firecracker of a crate for you in July. We’ve loaded up your Dungeon Crate with a sizzling new, exclusive conversational RPG you can play anywhere, with anyone, plus a fresh, original encounter, and heaps upon heaps of D6 goodies. Let’s blast off!

 Meta D6 Set

We got a little meta here by placing a set of two D6 dice-in-dices inside a big red D6 dice box. That’s a whole lotta D6 love.

Block of 36 Opaque 12mm D6s - Chessex

With 36 dice stacked into this clear box, there’s plenty for throwing a fireball or sneak attack. These d6s are a little smaller, which means you can easily take them with you and use them to play our exclusive Outlast game or, you know, basically any other tabletop game on the planet. Did you get blue, purple, red, or dusty green? Our social media followers want to know.

Aleon, D6 #77647 - Reaper Miniatures

Aleon the D6 bard is clearly in the middle of retelling an epic adventure or amusing bystanders with a song. He sports a feathered cap and has his lute at the ready. This detailed mini was sculpted by Bobby Jackson, is from the Bones Classic Models line, and is ready to paint or play straight from the box.

Dragon Rubber Ducky

Toss this little dragon ducky in your pool or on your gaming table. Chances are good you’ll have to fight your kid or significant other for this fierce little dude.

Did you catch our Facebook Live where Laurie and Jexa made cocktails that color coordinated with our three dragon duckies? We named the brown and green ducky chocolate key lime pie and made a decadent dessert cocktail. The chilled white and blue dragon ducky got the minty treatment from Rob McGill’s Alphina’s Lightning Bolt cocktail that you can find in our Critical Cooking fan cookbook, which was featured in the November 2020 crate. The red and orange ducky was swimming in a spiced up old fashioned cocktail called The Dancing Fey, which can also be found in our Critical Cooking fan cookbook. Miss out on the November 2020 crate? Head to our online store and pick up a copy!

Dungeon Crate Exclusive -  Outlast Game by Ryan Warren

Grab your D6s, gather a group of newbs to the RPG world (or seasoned players), and play this new game created by Ryan Warren. Outlast puts players directly into imaginative role playing scenarios and is easy enough that someone who has never played a tabletop RPG can understand and enjoy it. The rules are simple and the game mechanics a breeze.

Ryan also wrote three starter Outlast scenarios to run your crew through:

Candle: A trio of recently reanimated witches crashes a Halloween party and plans to wreak havoc on your town. Will you just let them?

Dead: Zombies with Xs branded on them have taken over your town. Can you rescue yourselves, save the town, and uncover who has created this army of the undead?

Night: A tour bus crash leaves you all disoriented and stuck in an eerie town plagued by falling ash. Think your group can outlast the creates that go bump in the night here?

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Outlast Character Sheet Notepad

Your players will need to keep track of their vitality and have space for notes while diving into your Outlast adventure. This notepad has 25 character sheets with places for tracking and note taking, plus it’s just the right size to take with you anywhere.

One D6 Dice Pencil - Norse Foundry

Basically, all you need to play Outlast in a d6, a notepad, and your imagination. We’re giving you everything except the last one. This six-sided wand of writing handily doubles as a D6. Toss the pencil on any flat surface, check the pips near the eraser for the result, and jot your answers down on your character sheet.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Choose Your Weapon Vinyl Sticker

Show off your RPG lifestyle by slapping this vinyl sticker on your laptop, car, or GM screen. We want to see where your sticker lives. Take a pic and post it on our socials.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - The Green Garden of Thorns by Kevin Coffey

This D&D 5E encounter for fourth level characters was created by Kevin Coffey, the man behind Crit for Brains, and is set in our world of Halcyon. Here’s what your party can expect: A lush garden tucked deep within Halcyon's Ebrini Kingdoms looks peaceful, but is it?

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Animated Statue Crate Card

Is that statue following you? Highly likely. Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you. This original, illustrated card gives you 5E stats and a creepy visual reminder to watch your back. Use to play Green Garden of the Thorns or any other fantasy RPG.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Wolf Plant Thorns Crate Card

Needle-like thorns that you can use like an arrow? Handy! The card includes a full-color image of the wolf plant thorn and stats for using it in Dungeons and Dragons 5E. Use it to play Green Garden of the Thorns or tuck it into your bag of holding for another fantasy RPG campaign.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Cut-Out Terrain

Cut along the red lines for an instant collection of traps to use in your next quest. One side of this terrain is stone, the other is filled with heaps of coin treasure. This original design by Dungeon Doodles was made exclusively for Dungeon Crate. Show us how you use them in game play!

Lagniappe

We like the concept of lagniappe (an unexpected bonus) and always try to put a little something extra in the crates. When you find a little something in your crate that’s not listed on the insert, it’s a gift from us to you. This month we included RPG stickers!

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Digital Crate Access

Don’t forget about your Digital Dungeon Crate. All Dungeon Crate members get access to PDFs of July’s encounter, stat cards, the Outlast game, and plenty of other digital goodies by accessing your digital crate. We only keep the digital crates up for a few months so be quick about signing in with your code (found on your insert or in the email we sent) and saving the PDFs for when you’re ready to play.

Pssst...this code also gives you 10% off our online store all month long. Just shop from our online treasury, enter the code at check-out, and 10% disappears magically from your total.

Share your favorite items from July’s crate by posting your thoughts, pictures, and videos on our Facebook Dungeon Crate Adventurers’ Guild, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also find & follow us on YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
